Variable speed drive and Accessories
Frequency inverters and accessories
Frequency inverters belong to the so-called converter technology. The main task of frequency converters is to make the speed of electrical machines variable. To do this, the alternating current drawn from the power grid must be converted in such a way that it permits a variable speed instead of a fixed one. If a frequency converter is connected upstream of a motor, it takes over the task of the power supply system and independently regulates the output frequency and output voltage. In this way, it can influence the motor speed, regulate it variably and significantly extend the speed range. Changing the direction of rotation is also possible with a frequency inverter. Frequency inverters are mostly used in industry, for example to drive pumps, cranes and conveyor or assembly belts. Most of the frequency inverters in our online store are suitable for induction motors. The smallest drive in our range covers power levels from 0.18 to 0.75 kW. Also available: matching heat sinks and filter sets.
