Tantalum capacitors are special electrolytic capacitors that allow you to take advantage of the benefits of tantalum as a material. Tantalum helps form the anode, or electrode pole, where electrical currents flow into a cell or electrical component. Tantalum makes electrolytic capacitors work particularly reliably. Due to their compact design and stability, they are primarily used in portable electronic products such as cell phones or laptops. When using the specific capacitors, correct polarity and voltage are essential. If the values and thus the products are incorrectly selected, or if there is an overvoltage, this can destroy the components.
