Hirschmann Test & Measurement

In 2006, the Test & Measurement product range of the Hirschmann company was acquired by SKS Kontakttechnik GmbH. Since then, the division has been further expanded and innovations in this area have been continuously presented.

With the new development of the 2mm safety system, an important step has been taken towards miniaturisation. Despite the smallest design, full performance is achieved: 1000 V CAT III according to the current IEC 61010 standard.

Test leads and accessories according to IEC 61010 / VDE 0411

The touch-safe measuring cables and accessories from Hirschmann Test & Measurement have developed into a proven brand product over decades and set new quality standards in the market.

All products comply with the requirements of IEC 61010 / VDE 0411. The high standards of the products are complemented by expertise and inventiveness. The company combines know-how with tradition.

Joining forces with the inventor of the banana plug

The publication of the patent "Connector with clamping device for the connecting wire in the insulating body" on 25 July 1929 turned an outstanding idea into one of the most important patents of German industry in the 20th century. Since then, Richard Hirschmann's innovation has shaped connection technology in various measurement and testing tasks in electrical engineering and electronics.

This invention obliges SKS Kontakttechnik GmbH to do justice to the inventor so that everyone can benefit from it. We are therefore constantly working to make our products even better and to adapt them to the current requirements of the market.

Laboratory connectors: The original from the inventor of the banana plug

The laboratory connector has proven itself in industrial research and development for many years. With a wide range of colours, a large selection of self-assembly connectors and various contact and connection systems, this connector offers a wide range of options for assembling measuring cables.

For special applications with voltages up to 1000V, safety plugs according to IEC 61010 including screw connection are available. The self-assembly is possible without special tools.

Test Probes for millimetre-precise testing

The test probes are ideal for millimetre-precise testing in the trades and in electronics. With their slim design, they make it easier to test wiring systems and enable safe and precise contacting.

The finest needles are perfect for contacting SMD components and delicate applications, while the pointed needles can easily penetrate oxidation layers and insulations. The strong steel tips are designed for robust use, while the spring-loaded tips maintain contact without damaging the test object.

Thanks to the IC tip protection (SS 260), you can safely contact ICs without risking accidental short circuits. Only the fine tip is conductive, which provides additional protection.

Test leads for optimal connections

These high-quality test leads are the ideal solution for ensuring the best possible connection for all measurements. Whether for measuring instruments, test equipment or experimental set-ups, wires are indispensable. But not all wires are the same: these test leads are characterised by their robustness, flexibility, resilience and durability.

The wires are made of the finest copper wires, which, depending on the cross-section, consist of hundreds of individual wires. In combination with highly elastic insulating materials, this ensures that the measuring wires offer the highest quality. With a voltage resistance of up to 1,000 V / CAT III and a current of 32 A (IEC 61010), the wires are safe and powerful.

The sliding sleeve system means that the test leads can also be used on devices without safety sockets – a real added value in every situation.

Further highlights:

  • Silicone wires are resistant to contact with the soldering iron
  • Integrated colour indicators – for quick detection of damage
  • Length, colour and attached plugs in various versions
