The optionally available and retrofittable IF-KE5 interface modules can be installed in the EA-EL 300B and EA-PS 3000 B series and add one or two digital ports or also an analog port. The analog port (sub-d, 15-pin) is coupled with a USB, such as in the combination USB + LAN. The USB + Analog combination gives the user the option of using either a digital or analog remote control. The USB, which is included in all three variants, is not only used for digital remote control via SCPI or ModBus command, but is also used for firmware update.
