Desoldering wire, 27162500, Felder
Desoldering wire is an extremely absorbent copper wire impregnated with halogen-free no-clean flux in a practical plastic roll for desoldering SMD and THT components and for removing excess solder from printed circuits.
When using the desoldering wire, special care must be taken to ensure that the desoldering process does not take too long. If it takes too long, the copper contact may detach from the carrier material of the PCB or the component may be damaged by overheating. Sections of the desoldering wire that are saturated with solder should be cut off to prevent the good thermal conductivity of the copper from dissipating too much heat energy into the already used section.
