EasyTest800 displays voltages and polarity. Continuity tests are carried out with a resistance-dependent tone and an LED up to approx. 40 kOhm. For data lines, it is determined whether the port is patched. The unit generates six different, data-safe search frequencies as a search signal. The signal can be fed to live telco lines, whereby the EasyTest acts with high impedance, which reduces interference with existing signals as well as signal crosstalk on neighbouring wire pairs, especially with xDSL or Ethernet signals.
