The material thickness meter can measure material thicknesses of up to 300 mm. To ensure that the material thickness of a wide variety of homogeneous materials can be measured, it is possible to save the corresponding sound velocity in the material thickness meter. For materials such as steel, aluminium, zinc, silver and gold, the appropriate sound velocities are already saved in the device library. This means that the material thickness meter can be used universally.
The material thickness meter has a data memory in which the measured values can be recorded. After a measuring procedure, the saved readings can be analysed directly in the material thickness meter. The saved data is displayed as a graph on the material thickness meter.
