Floor standing polyester enclosure, NSYPLAT553G, Schneider Electric

This PLAT version of the PLA is a versatile, floor-standing enclosure that is suitable for various applications. The enclosure has nominal dimensions of 500 mm in height, 500 mm in width, and 320 mm in depth. It is made of polyester reinforced with fiberglass, offering durability and resistance to harsh environments, including outdoor and industrial settings. The enclosure is available in grey (RAL 7035) and comprises two side parts, one plain front door, one rear panel, and one canopy. The door can be opened up to 120° from either the right or left side and features a two-point handle lock with a 5 mm double-bar insert.

The rear panel and door can be removed for maintenance purposes, and the canopy can also be removed by fixing elements. The enclosure offers robust protection against various hazards, including fire, impact, dust, and water. It can withstand fire up to 960 °C in accordance with the IEC 62208 standard. The enclosure also has an IK10 rating (IEC 62262), indicating high resistance to impacts it is rated IP44 (IEC 60529), offering high protection against dust and water additionally. The enclosure has class II electrical insulation to prevent electric shocks and allow for the building of totally insulated solutions.
