The BS30-42055 is a optical USB-C cable with a hybrid cable, part of the data is transmitted via optical conductors (light signals) and another part via copper lines. The advantage of such an active optical cable is the much longer transmission distance that can be achieved because light signals are much less sensitive to electrical interference signals.
