The 10-pin AF connector in accordance with MIL-C-10544 is mainly intended for use in communication devices (e.g. for connecting handsets, headphones and microphones). The plug connection is waterproof; it is locked by a bayonet catch. The socket contacts are individually spring-loaded, the plug contacts are rigid. The plug insert has a double anti-twist protection. Cables are connected by soldering.
