The LM5116MHX/NOPB is a synchronous buck controller designed for use as a step-down regulator in applications where the input supply is very variable or has a high voltage. The control method is based upon current mode control using an emulated current ramp. Current mode control provides inherent line feed-forward, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and ease-of-loop compensation.
