This power supply provides an integrated professional battery management system for charging and monitoring an external lead-acid battery. The result is a complete DC UPS system in a compact housing that requires no additional parts. The externally connected 12 V battery is charged by the power supply and kept in the state of charge. To avoid overcharging the battery, an external temperature sensor automatically regulates the battery voltage to the required end-of-charge voltage.
