Threadlockers are liquids or gels applied to the threads of screws to prevent accidental loosening. They fill the space between the threads and harden, preventing vibration, temperature fluctuations or external forces from affecting the fastener. In mechanics and electronics, the use of such agents can ensure reliable connections between two components. Screw locking tapes or washers can be used to further strengthen this mechanical cohesion. In addition to protecting against loosening, some threadlockers also provide corrosion protection for the joined parts.
