Pushbutton safety coupling, 199983, Riegler
The safety coupling with pushbutton operation has an inner diameter of 7.4 and is made of rotating aluminum. It has a G 3/8 IT connection and can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 12 bar. The temperature range for this coupling is -20 °C to 70 °C. When it is pressed for the first time, air is relieved from the coupling but the plug in the coupling remains locked. The plug is only disconnected when the pushbutton is pressed for the second time. The dreaded "whiplash effect" is avoided and the risk of injury to the operator virtually eliminated.
